I spent a very short period of time with the actual doctor. The current issue has been dealt with well. I was told to eventually come back and take care of another foot that may need work. I could have used a bit more information around the suggested future procedure. The why and the what ... otherwise, all was a pleasant experience.

The office needs to do a better job between the front office and the accounting office
1. I was charged with the cream I did not get.
2. I was asked to pay the balance when I already took care of it a few weeks before

I appreciated that the front office was quick to correct the mistakes after I mentioned them.

I have been seen on time every time and everyone I have dealt with has been wonderful. Great office!
I have had an extremely difficult time getting an authorization due to DOL problems. I’ve called the office NUMEROUS times and Maria, the receptionists (and anyone else that has had to listen to my panic-stricken calls) have never been anything but patient and understanding. My calls are promptly returned and Maria has explained everything to me as we go. They have never even implied that I am causing an imposition. I can’t thank them enough for all the patience and help they have given me. I may have surgery in my future and I will be sure to write another review afterwards!

I'm delighted with my visit(s) with Dr Baravarian and his associates. He is kind and explained everything to me in a way that made sense to me. I'm more than happy to recommend him and have already done so.

My foot accident took place on May 28, 2020. The earliest appointment I obtained to see the doctor was on June 8. I was advised to take MRI on June 12. I left home in Long Beach early morning. At about 9:30 AM while I was in the vicinity of the Institute I got a call to postpone the MRI to Wed June 17. It was not acceptable to me because I was at the Institute on time, the pain from my foot was intolerable, and there had been no intervention to relieve me of pain. So I showed up at the Institute as per appointment and insisted to have the MRI. Alex "squeezed" me in! and the MRI was undertaken. Alex was very nice, but why all this: last minute changes in scheduling and no response to my swollen and painful foot for so long??? I am now looking forward to my Wed June 17 visit to decide a course of action. That is unless you folks change time at the last minute.

Dr. Baravarian repaired my Achilles tendon in May of 2005. On the CT scan, at the point of rupture, there was a 1.5 inch gap between the ends of my tendon and the ends were shredded.Soon after the surgery and rehabilitation I resumed playing tennis and I have played since then, for all those years, on regular basis, usually a few times a week. I've also been doing other kinds of exercise.  I never had a slightest issue with my tendon since the surgery.  I'm 66 years old now.I had several appointments with Dr. Baravarian.   First before the surgery and than follow ups after.  He was always nice, he was listening to my questions and always explained the procedures to my satisfaction. I have been a patient of Dr. Baravarian for over 15 years. I fortunately met Dr. B when I returned to CA. after having a foot surgery in New York. If it wern't for Dr. Baravarian's corrective surgery, I wouldn't be walking today. He is without question, a genius in his field. and the most caring and compasionate Doctor I have ever met!
His staff immulates his example of caring, and always do all they can to accomodate your needs.

not only am i impressed with the doctors, my physical therapy with lydia and gray was amazing. lydia worked with me on strengthening my ankles and my balance. hoping dr. baravarian put in for more p.t. so that when the pandemic ends. in the meantime i am doing the exercises at home that i was doing with lydia

I first visited you 6 years ago. You were forthright then about my need for bunion surgery. I delayed b/c I had not experienced any real discomfort.
My next visit was in October 2019 and again you were polite, professional and forthright. I needed the surgery. Your outline of expectations pre and post surgery has helped me prepare and manage the recovery. The surgery day was routine and pleasant.
I also appreciate the support of your associate, Dr. Saeedi and surgery coordinator Cheli Mendoza. And I look forward to every post op PT work with Gray and Lydia. They have educated me about the recovery and designed a program that has results.
I would not hesitate to recommend UFAI to anyone in need of your professional care.. Thank you

Dr. Briskin is one of the greatest doctors in Los Angeles.
He is very knowledgable and his treatments are effective and easy.
(I am currently in NM so it will be a while for the next appointment; I understand there is a report)
Dr. Baravarian is also great.
The front desk is efficient and the billing dept. is easy to reach.
Every appointment at University Foot and Ankle is practically a vacation.
