I had VERY large bone spur that torn my achilles tendon. Dr.Baravarian did surgery to detach and reattach the achilles tendon. There was not much left of the tendon, it took forever to heal. Nine months after the surgery I was still in a lot of pain. Dr. Baravarian did PRP two times and that made the all difference!!

I started having problems with Planter Facia again and I am doing more therapy with scrapping and heat on the bottom of my foot which is helping a lot. I still have to be careful to not walk on concrete for very long.

Dr Baravarian and his staff are very caring and great to work with. I highly recommend going to Dr. Baravarian for any kind of foot treatment.

Dr Baravarian is a brilliant surgeon. He is extremely busy so I often felt a bit nervous to ask any questions about concerns. Everything is progressing so well. I am so thankful. The staff is amazing . I do wish UFAI was closer to Ventura county.

Very difficult to reach by phone (get overnight message after opening time, long holds, disconnects, no response to voicemails EVER but auto long phone message reminders which do't record well to my voicemail--I just get the part of if I am a new patient bring blah blah, not the date or time.

All interactions with staff, physician and assistants were very pleasant. I think that laying out the whole plan for recovery (time schedule, footwear required, therapy) up front would be good. It was all briefly mentioned ahead of time but not with details. So I was surprised that a shoe with a specific type of rigid sole was recommended during the transition from the boot. It would be good to know that before surgery. The shoe ended up being an excellent idea, but prior knowledge would be better.

This week is my 3 month post-op week. All footwear with arch support and cushioning seem to work ok. Other footwear like a flat loafer, not so much. The nerve problem in my foot is gone, but the foot is still recovering. Walking more than 3 miles or so causes my whole foot to be fatigued and achy, and that fatigue travels up my leg. I will continue to work at it.

I love you all. This is a top-notch crew, dedicated, hard-working and fun, too. I hate to do surveys. It's like Big Brother is watching. Not my thing. Invasive. Ick. But this is a testament to how great the PT gang is here. So there.

Overall I was satisfied however I waited for someone to call me when my insurance approved me to get an MRI. I was told it might be 2 weeks. I ended up calling after 3 weeks of waiting only to find out the approval “ had just come in”. But my doctor was out on vacation and that is why no one called me. I cannot imagine the doctor calls the patient to tell them of the approval. I would have expected a much more proactive approach. I woulda e rather heard of my approval even though the the doctors vacation would postpone the actual appointment since same day reading of results would be needed. So satisfied yet frustrated is the way I would describe my initial feelings.
